Firework Displays

4th of JulyEnjoy food and fun from noon until night at Centennial Olympic Park, Park gates open  at 6 p.m. and fireworks start at approximately 9:40 p.m. The finale of the evening is Centennial Olympic Park’s Fireworks Spectacular, Atlanta’s best fireworks display synchronized to a special selection of patriotic and popular music. Or celebrate with America’s Pastime by rooting on the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field this Fourth of July.

And also Lenox Square and Mall of Georgia, will host celebrations that culminate in gorgeous fireworks displays. And just south of downtown, East Point’s Salute to the Red, White, & Blue Hometown Celebration, features a carnival, fireworks and more. The celebration will take place from 5:00 – 11:00 p.m. with the fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m. located in 2757 Main Street East Point.

Peachtree Road Race (Rain or Shine)

Runners from all over have come to Atlanta to participate in the annual Peachtree Road Race. Be one of 150,000 spectators cheering on the 55,000 participants in the nation’s second-largest race. The Peachtree Road Race takes place along the course’s ten-kilometer route from Peachtree Road at Lenox Square mall to Piedmont Park.
